Grateful Dead Endorse Obama

The Grateful Dead has decided to endorse Obama

"DEADHEADS FOR OBAMA"...
All those rock stars and celebrities backing Barack Obama are not only targeting the youth vote. In a bid for a decidedly older demographic, The Grateful Dead's Phil Lesh says the band is reuniting for a "one-time-only event in order to lend support to Senator Obama leading into the crucial 'Super-Tuesday' series of primaries."

The Washington Post's Garance Franke-Ruta explains "the Obama campaign's boldest cultural outreach effort to date":

Mickey Hart, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir will be joined by Jackie Greene, John Molo and Steve Molitz at the concert, which will be simulcast live onto the internet on iclips.net. This will be the first time that the members of the band have performed together since 2004...

The concert poster lifts a line from the Dead's patriotic hit, "U.S. Blues." (Wave that flag, wave it wide and high. Summertime done, come and gone, my, oh, my.) If you have an idea for Dead lyrics that could be repurposed for Obama or Clinton's campaign, go ahead and post them in the comments.

I somewhat disagree ( and I am a dedicated deadhaed ). However, he may still be the candidate to do " less damage " overall, thus still may be my choice. Isnt that funny.

and here is why ... The Campaign ADVISORS to these candidates are likely to be the BACKBONE of the Elected Presidents Administration

Some of the excerpts from this article / interview ...

"" Another Obama adviser, Sarah Sewall, who heads a human rights center at Harvard and is a former Defense official, she wrote the introduction to General Petraeus’s Marine Corps/Army counterinsurgency handbook, the handbook that is now being used worldwide by US troops in various killing operations. That’s the Obama team. ""

"" HILLARY Clintons top advisors : Madeleine Albright, she was the main force behind the Iraq sanctions that killed more than 400,000 Iraqi civilians. General Wesley Clark, he was the one who ran the bombing of Serbia in the former Yugoslavia, came out and publicly said that he was going after civilian targets, like electrical plants, like the TV station there. Do0D,

You might have seen that coverage here has been less than completely serious.

You think we have an actual choice?

Well, good on ya then...

Frankly, I find them endorsing any candidate as foolish and looks silly, to be overly simplistic about it. You wouldn't see this happening if Jerry were still alive.

It really is too bad that Obama has decided to jog so far to the right now that the general election is under way.
