Merry Christmas.

The second batch of West African Peanut Soup has been constructed, delivered, and partially consumed. My duties are over, so...

Smashed is off to NA to rip open a few packages, and to play with remote-controlled cars and his nephew's new camera.

Aloha!

Great Photo Smashed! On a related berry interesting topic I learned that "Cranberry" comes from Crane Berry -- "The common name cranberry is a modification of the colonial name "crane berry," because the drooping flower looked like the neck and head of the sand crane, which was often seen eating the fruits."

That's the silliest thing I've ever heard! What kind of a mind would think up "Friday Berry Blogging"? Cat blogging I understand, Mouse blogging I know, but what is this "berry blogging"? They just sit there. They have no beating hearts, no curious minds. No prohibition against eating them exists! Smashed is not interested in regularly blogging any sort of plants on Fridays!

By the way, nice topical tidbit vis-a-vis the crane-berry. Thanks for that, thanks a lot.
